About ShareMyToolbox

ShareMyToolbox is a mobile-first tool inventory management and tracking system which provides field personnel with a simple way to keep track of who is responsible for tools and small equipment. Users can build their tool catalog with data import technology which allows the import of lists from Excel. To further aid setup, users can manually enter tools and manage user connections such as admin and employee users. Designed to build accountability, ShareMyToolbox enables users to assign tools to individuals and jobs. Users can search for and locate tools by barcode scan or text search, with support for barcode scanning through the camera on users' mobile or tablet devices. Employees can accept or decline responsibility for any assigned tool from the warehouse on their phone. With native mobile apps for iOS and Android, users have the flexibility to search for and transfer tools while out in the field, and check tool availability back in the warehouse. By marking tools as ‘unavailable’, users disable those select tools from being searched for or shared. Tool transfer information is updated in the cloud-based tool catalog automatically, providing all users with up-to-date information.
