ProfitFab from Micro Concepts & Solutions is a manufacturing resource planning system designed to help businesses manage their orders, create quotes, assess jobs and inventory and draw detailed reports within a comprehensive, server-based solution. The program is most applicable to OEM and make-to-order manufacturers, including machine shop, sheet metal and plastics companies. Within ProfitFab, users gain access to several different modules. The quote and order management application provides the ability to assess blanket orders, assemble tree reports, look at order and quote histories, evaluate a bill of materials and include line notes for each item. ProfitFab also includes applications for MRP, machine and labor tracking, job estimating and the ability to export invoices to external accounting systems. Along with a one-click scheduling feature, the job scheduling module includes station-specific calendars and sequencing, Gantt charts, priority/ASAP scheduling and forecast reports, among other tools.
