About DocuShare
Xerox DocuShare is an enterprise content management (ECM) platform that enables the management of a wide range of paper and digital content, while automating business processes. Designed to support business users from SMB to departmental and enterprise levels, the platform is available across on-premise, cloud or hybrid-based deployment options. Comprising four main server install versions carrying varying feature sets, with add-ons also available, the solution range spans DocuShare, DocuShare Express, DocuShare Enterprise and DocuShare Education. Most broadly, DocuShare facilitates the capture of paper and digital documents from a range of sources including multifunction printers (MFPs), Xerox ConnectKey, desktop clients and also DocuShare apps for iOS and Android devices. Automating document workflows, routing and indexing, documents are processed accordingly for centralized storage and management within a secured repository. Information can then be located more quickly with tagging and search tools, plus metadata assignment for classifying document images. Mobile clients, apps and eForms support remote capture, while collaboration and sharing is aided with change history and activity tracking, version control, email integration, expanded access permissions, plus support for Microsoft Office.
The SaaS-based DocuShare Flex also offers a cloud hosted option with similar levels of document management, capture and rule-based business process automation. Scanning from Xerox MFPs and TWAIN scanners is joined by the creation and archive of searchable PDF documents, automatic multi-lingual OCR, click-based lasso metadata selection and a number of image refinement tools. From Flex's web UI, users can perform e-skew, de-speckle, compression and rotation refinements, export to PDFs and also drag files in to upload documents already digitized. In addition, DocuShare is supported by companion smartphone apps for iOS and Android devices, enabling remote platform connectivity and native features for viewing, capturing and sharing documents.
