About Copyscape

Copyscape is a real-time online plagiarism detection tool that allows users to automatically scan the web for content taken from their websites, and check the originality of content added to their own systems. Copyscape offers a free checking tool, Premium service and API, and the Copysentry protection system to fully automate plagiarism detection. Copyscape’s free comparison tools allows users to compare content between two sites by enter the site URLs or pasting content. The results display how many words and what percentage of content is a match between the two sites. Copyscape Premium offers batch search, which enables the search of up to 10000 pages at once, and lets users build a private offline content index to check duplication within their own content. The Copyscape Premium API enables the automated detection of duplicated content added to users’ own content as part of their content workflow. The additional Copysentry protection service automatically monitors for plagiarised content on the web, and notifies users of all new copies, even if the content has been modified.
