BoardEffect is a cloud-based board management and portal solution designed to manage regular meeting cycles, annual board cycles, and longer-term board development cycles. The software is suitable for all organizations with governing bodies, whether they are in healthcare, education, corporate, or nonprofit. BoardEffect allows users to manage their regular board meeting cycle, whether meetings are monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or sporadic. The integrated book builder can be used to create board books, and the archives preserve a clean copy of each book which users can access at any time. Through the scheduler, users can arrange upcoming meetings, allowing members to RSVP with a click. New members, policies, and meeting minutes can all be approved electronically in BoardEffect, using the voting tool, and the task tool allows board members to set task reminders and check off completed tasks. BoardEffect’s tools for managing annual board meetings include policy handbooks which can be annotated by board members, and an onboarding system for new members. The survey creation tool allows users to create a range of forms to solicit feedback, assess conflicts of interest, provide self-assessments for board members, and more. The board development cycle can also be managed through BoardEffect, using the board education resource library, ad hoc group creation, customizable board member profile fields, and collaboration tools including discussion groups, surveys, and polls.
