Avira Managed Email Security (AMES) offers a complete cloud-based email protection solution to meet the security needs of individuals and businesses across industries. Unlike in-house email filtering, Avira directs the entire email traffic to AMES servers where each email is scanned for spam, malware, virus or other harmful content. Harmful content is then removed and quarantined before the email is forwarded to the users’ email account. Avira Managed Email Security is based on Bayesian filtering technology which inspects complete email traffic for telltale character and word combinations to eliminate any suspicious emails before delivery to the user’s network. The bandwidth saving feature helps in optimizing user networks by scheduling bulk emails at a certain business time or blocking heavy attachments from entering into users' networks. AMES offers an intuitive web interface from where users can manage settings, view statistics, generate reports and more. Users can control attachments by permitting defined file types and restricting others to avoid unnecessary emails. It also allows the personalization of mail bodies with email signatures, auto-replies, and disclaimers in an email. Users can get daily reports of quarantined or blocked emails via email.
