Receipt Stash is a cloud-based bookkeeping automation and expense tracking platform designed to simplify accounts payable bookkeeping by extracting expense information automatically from uploaded invoices and receipts, and categorizing the expense items using customizable supplier rules. The documents are stored centrally in a cloud-based account and can be published to connected accounting systems with a single click.
Receipt Stash offers multiple upload options for users to submit their expense documents. Users can capture images of their receipts through their mobile device, forward files to their dedicated Receipt Stash email address, or upload documents directly from their desktop. Information is automatically extracted from the document and stored alongside the file, removing the need for users to manually enter data. Users can create custom rules to automatically categorize and populate invoice and receipt items with data including tax rates, nominal codes, and other information. The expense document and expense information are uploaded to users’ accounts in real time, from where they can be viewed, edited and sent to accounting systems.
Users can link Receipt Stash directly with their accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online and Xero, and publish their expenses with a single click. Foreign currencies can be converted automatically based on the date of the receipt and amount. Different access and permission levels can be set for employees and management for both the web and mobile applications to ensure only the right people have access to sensitive information. The dashboard overview provides users with insights into spending, and detailed reports with drill-down can be exported to share with key stakeholders.
