The solution routes SOPs (standard operating procedures) and other records through a routing process for review and approval including drafting, review, final approvals, release, and approved phases. Users are able to control which individual is responsible for each phase, their editing and reading permissions in each phase, and the time they have to complete each one. Users are sent automated notifications if there is a request to review or approve a newly released document, or to update an existing one. ETQ provides organizations with a central repository for controlled documents which allows for the importing of existing documents, including attachments and metadata, and the linking of related documents. Users can assign documents to specific individuals, groups or roles, including various routing options such as parallel, sequential, and voting. ETQ automatically records and displays the electronic signatures of approvers, and the intuitive workflow display shows document status. Users are able to setup and automate a periodic review of specific released documents, as well as the archiving of old revisions.
